Our Programs & CommitteesMembership is the heart of all Chambers of Commerce. It is true that members receive more benefits from the Chamber if they are a volunteer or attend programs. The Chamber invites you to offer your volunteer services, please indicate the committee you wish to serve on to give back to the business community and grow your business.
This group serves as the first point of contact for a new member after recruitment and assists with recruitment and retention. The Ambassadors meet the fourth Monday of each month during lunch at local member restaurants.
Small Business Support Council
This Committee is dedicated to helping members stay up to date with current issues and solutions by providing seminars, workshops, individual consulting and other venues for useful information. The Business Support Council meets the fourth Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber
The Technology Committee will support and educate members, potential members and chamber staff regarding technology in business. They work closely with the Small Business Support Council to produce the TechSmart Conferences. This committee meets the second and fourth Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber.
The Education Committee has built coalitions with the local schools and universities, including JA, JAG, to provide business support as a resource. Yearly scholarships and teacher recognition is included. This committee meets the fourth Monday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber.
Grassroots Advocacy/Public Policy
The committee is focused on the grassroots of governmental issues. It works to build coalitions to support the mission of the chamber to advance the general welfare and prosperity of the region so that its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper. Public Policy hosts a variety of guests throughout the year and meets the first Friday at 8:00 a.m. at the Chamber.
